News: A female English teacher got 22 years in prison for having sex with three 17 year old boys and aborting a pregnancy with one of them. 22 years? Murderers don’t get that, violent rapists don’t get, Ponzi schemers don’t get that. Jennifer Fichter? She gets that. Incidentally, if any of these guys happened to kill someone, suddenly they would be adults in the eyes of the court. This is fear of female sexuality.

Streaming: Woke up this morning to polish off the final show from Soldier’s Field, a not untypical post-Dead show, like the one I caught at MSG a coupla years ago, plus the Phish guitarist. What a long strange trip it was.

New York: The MTA is stuck in a hole but overall, crime is way down in 2015. Proof that a) nobody has the slightest idea what is happening or why and b) perception is reality because nobody feels safer.

Money: Eric Garner’s 16 month old daughter by a woman other than his wife, will not be accepted into the Garner household. Why? Follow the money the chokehold victim’s next of kin will receive.

Live: Tomorrow there is Kevin Hart at MSG and later in the week a double dose of Taylor, but till then I’ll have gone the longest stretch without a concert since, wow, since maybe 2010! Thirteen days!!!!

Recorded: On a personal level, I am ready for new music so let’s see what we get. I hope it is better than Weezy.
