The Rolling Stones Have A New Song, The Subtly Titled 'One More Shot'

In case you were living under a rock, let me remind you that The Stones are back, and this was even more obvious this week as they have unveiled a new song, ‘One More Shot’, following their muddy-bluesy ‘Doom and Gloom’ a few weeks ago. This is the second song off their upcoming greatest hits, weirdly entitled ‘Grrr!’, which will hit the stores on November 13th.

The song is pure vintage gold Stones sound, with a medium-slow tempo but tons of boldness, and it probably will remind you plenty of their good old hits. Now you’re gonna say they could have come up with something more original after resting for seven years? May be but who cares? The music sounds as if they had never stopped, and they still can produce close-to-standards work.

In any case, it’s cool to hear that one of the greatest bands on earth still has it and that Mick Jagger hasn’t lost any of his swagger, singing as if we were back in the 70s, ‘Ooo baby, I got a message for you. You got me doing something. I though I never would do. Give me one more – one more shot.’ The Stones currently have their ‘one more shot’, no doubt about it, and it could well be their last shot.

Too bad that they currently have only dates on the east coast and that they are charging the amount of the national income for a ticket.
