Hey.. you've been selling all your stuff on ebay in anticipation of these select Rolling Stone tour dates right? Yeah, save Grandmothers brooch cuz chances are pretty slim you'll see them. Not only will tickets be for the privileged few but the shows aren't even confirmed.
In a tweet, the Stones announced, 'Dear fans, no Rolling Stones gigs have been confirmed or announced. Do not buy tickets from the SongKick website, or anywhere else'. Hmm… sorta disturbing isn't it. I thought Barclays Brooklyn event was a sure thing, or maybe it is and we're being snowed! As it stands the London, Australia and US shows are nothing but rumour.
Sorry guys but its true. About the only legit celebration events are the movie showing in NYC, a coffee table book and the greatest hits album 'GRRR!' in November featuring two new tracks 'Gloom and Doom' and 'One More Shot', recorded in Paris in August 2012.
We cant say enough that 50 years at any job is a great accomplishment and these guys lived it hard. Maybe we should just cut them some slack and not expect anything. I do like the stop starts of hype though. Keeps ya on your toes.
So we wait. I suppose this will be a quick announcement / sale / sell out. Maybe you can watch it on pay per view.
