There are some things that should simply not ‘return’. It is virtually impossible to not dilute the granduer of an original with a sequal. I mean think about how many dud ‘part 2’s there are. Too many to mention.
There are certain films tha the mere thought of sequal disturbs me. Would there ever be a ‘Tommy 2″? I appreciate the thought, I really do! When there is a cult classic we all want more- but the more never seems to live up to the original and then youre left with a yucky disappointment of harshened mello.
The ‘mock-umentary’ of heavy metal Spinal Tap may show up as soon as next year acording to writer Chirstopher Guest,
“We get asked to do shows on a regular basis, but what I will say is that we’re in the midst of talking about something for next year,” Guest told The Guardian. Soon after, he reflected upon their 2009 Glastonbury appearance at the Pyramid Stage, adding: “It was a fantastic show. There were 130,000 people there or something. Since the film 30 years ago we’ve gone on tour, playing Wembley, the Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall… It’s weird but great. The fiction became real.”
There is a bit of dellusional in the comment ‘the fiction became real’ but thats OK we can call it poetic license. These guys are old- very old. To see them in spandex and sleeveless could cause permanent damage to your retina’s. Just dont- there are so many other topics to cover with more fitting of a cast. NO- no just no.
