The Mowgli’s: “San Francisco” Video and New Tour Dates Announced!

This latest music video from Cali-indie band The Mowgli’s is damn adorable. “San Francisco” is a song about spreading love and that’s exactly what the music video is about. While there is very little of the band performing anything other than vocals, the video for “San Francisco” is full of the band and their friends spreading animated love around their town. With explosions of animated color and signs, the video reflects every heartfelt “Do you feel the love? I feel the love!” of the song, along with every beat that makes you want to get up and dance just like the people in the video.

While the composition of the video is fairly elementary, it’s kind of all this song needs. The melody of the song carries a dance with it and the video simply shows everyone dancing along as they should. In various situations, we see angry people who are touched in some way by The Mowgli’s and, in a burst of color and shapes, the once angry are made happy and full of love. It’s all rather cute but for me the best part of this video was seeing the crowd of people at the end of the video simply dancing and having a great time. The “San Francisco” video is certainly a great first video for The Mowgli’s.

In other really fantastic news, this spring holds a co-headlining tour for The Mowgli’s, who will be touring with Family of the Year who are actually good friends of The Mowgli’s. From February 19th to April 20ththe Mowgli’s will be playing 26 shows across the U.S.A. and I am already clearing my schedule in order to go to the New York City show. This will no doubt be a ridiculously fun show and I have high hopes for The Mowgli’s. Unfortunately, tickets are not on sale yet but you can like The Mowgli’s on Facebook at facebook.com/themowglis or follow the band on Twitter @TheMowglis to stay updated on tour info.
