Impressive line up for this years Gov Ball, the Festival you can go home and take a shower during reaches its third year and I bought a VIP though not a SUPER DUPER VIP. Of the three headliners, I've seen all three before and I promise you one thing, if Axl thinks I am waiting around to midnight for him to make his way on stage, he has another thnk coming.
Also, the days seem to start on the late side. Friday you are probably checking out Holy Ghost! as the first MUST SEE of the day, though MS Mr might, if you happen to wake up early, be worth the while. Saturday begins with Icona Pop and Sunday with freddie Gibbs, so if the doors are at noon, iff you get there at two o'clck you should be safe,.
Hiding out and you might have missed but, there is Erykah Badu and Best Coast on Friday, Badu i've seen before but I've been dying to see Best Coast for a couple of years now. Azealia Banks and Alt J on Satu… yes, there is Thivery Corporation. Last time I saw em they were opening for Massive Attack at the Beacon. Sunday includes my man Gary Clarke Jr!
So really, a pretty incredible line up. Hits me as better than Coachella or SXSW. Let's hope the whether plays ball with us…
