So sure you’re going to Governor’s Ball and the weather is kind, then  this is some line up . It is a lot of heavy digging done quickly and since the action is in I the bottle of middle, you can spend all day without necessarily spending all night. I stopped writing comments when I got bored.

Jason Isbell –  Southeaster was the slice of Americana to beat in 2013 plus he killed it live so this will be a thrill for anybody who bothers to catch it – A

Jack White – Terrific at Radio City Music Hall in 2012, if he is only half as good this time round he is worth staying up late for – A

The Strokes – I’ve seen em at many parts of their career and hey have consistently suck – C+

Vampire Weekend – I caught em twice last year, once I was I the front row in a library, ad wasn’t impressed either time – B-

 Skrillex – Yeah, HE’S A DJ – C

Outkast – It’s been awhile but they certainly have the back catalog to kill it and have a history of excellent live shows – A-

TV On The Radio – The last album sucked and their bass player died, still if they’re in the mood they can be very good stage – B

Phoenix – The last album stiffed but that doesn’t mean it was bad – B

Disclosure – “Latch” does not a band make – C

Spoon – Man, these guys are a bore on stage – C

Neko Case – Nice voice but a real bore – C

Janelle Monae – Maybe she is all that but except for

Damon Albarn – he has two solo albums, both are whatever with an exception here and there and over and above which, why can’t he bring Blur over? The dick – C-

Sleigh Bells – Last album wasn’t up to much sales wise but I liked it fine; has to be sen to be believed on stage – A

Grimes – Like the percusor to Lorde but she didn’t have that one song I her – B

Kurt Vile – If Neil Young didn’t exist Kurt Vile would have to invent him – B+

Earl Sweatshirt – There is a reason why the Odd Future crew are so crazy for earl, the man is one of the best rappers around. Live? He wasn’t bad at all – B+

  Jenny Lewis – I can’t believe I once had a crush on her – C-

Chance The Rapper –Not bad, but no earl Sweatshirt – B-

Julian Casablancas – Much better solo than with he Strokes – A-

Broken Bells – man, these two guys suck – C

James Blake. – Great on record, a snooze on stage – B

Interpol – Joy Division for morons – B-

Axwell and Ingrosso – Some Swedish but mostly House – B

 Deafheaven – Loud! B+

Run the Jewels – Killer Mike and El-P, should be terrific – A

Foster the People – These guys may actually have another hit in em – C+

  J. Cole – Gutsy enough to release his album the same day as Kanye…
