I am not sure that it is the way his fans want to remember him, but it seems that ‘House of Wallace’ will happen nevertheless. Notorious B.I.G.’s children, 16-year-old C.J. Wallace and 19-year-old T'yanna Wallace, will pay homage to their father with a new animated series.
House of Wallace is the studio built by the rapper once his career took off, and the plot of the series focuses on the kids’ attempt to maintain, energize the place and defend it against a large International music company. The worst seems to be about Wallace himself, who will appear in spirit to offer his guidance to his kids and the musical guests! Wallace’s children will voice their characters and the show will feature original songs from guest stars, and will even re-imagine Wallace’s own songs.
The kids released this statement:
‘It's been 16 years since our Dad was murdered and we miss him dearly. It is such an honor for us to be able to carry on his legacy, not only through his music but also by channeling him through our own creativity. This project, 'House Of Wallace,' is a great opportunity for us to bridge the gap between our parents, who loved his music, and the kids and young adults our ages, that were not around to really appreciate it.’
The show will apparently been picked by a network, as several are in discussion. I don’t know, is this the next thing after the Coachella holograms? Will they also bring Tupac’s ghost to sing a duet? And aren’t children the main public of an animated series? In this case, we will hear things like ‘Fuck all you hoes’, ‘Get a grip motherfucker’ or ‘Me and my Bitch’ in an animated series! It just looks like a weird idea to me, and not the best one to keep Notorious B.I.G.’s memory alive.
