How many times have The Eagles had their 'last tour'? This band has claimed that so many times they're nearly zombies. Returning from the dead to sing "Hotel California" for the hundred millionth time.
This type of rock is over. Generic music for generic people. Past its prime but not yet old enough to be nostalgia Don Henley and the guys are out for a buck so lets make sure their 50 something fans are all to pay up for it. These stadium tours give mom and dad an opportunity to pull out their Levi's and relive their youth. It wont be pretty- it will resemble a drunk PTA meeting. It sorta makes me shudder.
I have seen The Eagles live ( I assure you it was under duress ) and I have seen Don Henley way too up close and personal and I will say even in the glorious 80s– it was a horror. Lets add thirty years to it and its sure to be a backing tape atrocity.
Oh look and they're going to release a documentary too. I'm sure you all care about the rise and shine of the American bird- right? "The History of The Eagles", yeah… the tour is in support of the video. The band, Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmidt, will be performing both the band's hits and songs from each of their solo catalogs, psyched?
