Oh hey take a look at this. Indie masters The Decemberists are on the agenda. The Simpsons seem to have better musical guests then the talk shows do. Tom Waits, The Bieb, and now this.
The show is to air on December 2 and really now, you cant be a hipster band if you're animated. That's it- you're mainstream turn in your beret.

Well I have to say that I really like early Decemberists but that last release..eww and the whole self righteous interview circuit became a bore. Its as if they almost went all Moby. Shut up and play the hits. For those of you unfamiliar with the band I strongly suggest the introduction via the 'Rake Song'. By far one of the best told musical stories. Melloy's voice is outstanding and the overall mood sent over with such clarity that it will remain one of my all time favorite song.
As for The Simpson, I ain't gonna lie- this is a cool score and this season appears to be a fun one but how long has this been on now? I know their following is huge but ok ok.. its time to close down Springfield.
