By now you must have heard about Chick-fil-A, the fast food chain whose president Dan Cathy has publicly expressed his opposition to same-sex marriage. This generated a lot of protestations, some in support of the restaurant’s position, other against it, and the Chick-fil-A war is raging almost everywhere.
But why are people so surprised? The founder is a devout Southern Baptist whose believes have a large influence on his company, its official statement says that the business exists ‘To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us…’ and the chain stores are closed on Sunday! yes, no surprise, but it doesn't mean he shouldn't be fought.
The chain is based in Atlanta, and you can always count on the city’s favorite bad boys to react the right way. Following the example of many LGBT couples who began posting pictures of themselves kissing in front of the restaurants, the Black Lips’ Cole Alexander and Jared Swilley made out big time on front of a Chick-fil-A and shout out the event on Twitter:
‘Black lips headed to chick fil a! Can't decide what's gonna taste better, A chicken sandwich, or Jared's tongue shoved down my throat’
The band posted the photo on their Facebook wall and received thousands of likes! I thought it was funny and we can only hope that other artists will follow them.
