I have thrown in the towel on SNL. The show is utter crap and riddled with commercials the basic fact is if you aren’t stoned you’re not enjoying it. I prefer sleep over bad sketch comedy and ugly actor close ups. Their musical guests have been a chunk of garbage with performers who simply annoy me.
I have accepted the fact that the show is no longer for my demographic. Im OK with being too old, too stodgy too whatever to accept the fact that I’m expected to find people like Bobby Moynihan funny. Chris Farley is dead, just fyi.
But as if the North Star cleared the way a miracle happens at 30 Rock this December 21. A line up so perfect that for one day I will be sure to watch. Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon. These two should just tour together. They play off each other wonderfully and I don’t think I have watched them without cracking up. The chemistry is magical and Saturday Night Lives offering to us is much appreciated.
Jimmy Fallon will host for the second time since his departure from the show. His leaving was a huge blow to the show, I wonder if he will resurect his characters?
Justin Timberlake is back but only as musical guest. You can be pretty sure he will be working it for the homeless shelter aside Santa in the infamous “Homelessville” skit. He has hosted five times- so just filling in the tunes will be a new schtick.
This could well be the best holiday news of 2013.
