The BEST Album of 2011, and Possibly Ever

I know that everyone's going to say what the best top ten albums of 2011 were, but I don't need to make a list.

The best album of 2011 was Bright Eyes' The People's Key.  Released on February 15th, Conor Oberst's birthday, the album reached the 13th spot on the Billboard 200.

The release had these tracks on it:
1.  Firewall

2.  Shell Games

3.  Jejune Stars

4.  Approximate Sunlight

5.  Haile Selassie

6.  A Machine Spiritual (In The People's Key)

7.  Triple Spiral

8.  Beginner's Mind

9.  Ladder Song

10. One For You, One For Me

Each and every tune tells a story, and is gorgeously written.  My personal favourites are "Shell Games" and "Ladder Song", along with "Jejune Stars" (which they performed live on "The Late Show with David Letterman", which was great).  The album was a real step up and forward for the group lyrically, musically, and spiritually.  It set them ahead and showed that they can shake it up and yet still remain punchy, addictive, and heartfelt all at once.

The single "Jejune Stars"'s music video was released and on the official YouTube only has 11 dislikes.  I adore the video because of the visual aspect of how much passion and love the band seems to have for music as a whole.  It's brilliant and worth a watch.
If you don't already own this album, pick it up.  You won't regret it
