Please, leave Fiona Apple alone! This drug war is so ridiculous especially since weed is almost legal in California!
Fiona Apple’s tour bus was stopped at a border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Bianca, Texas on September 19 and police officers found drugs in the bus – 0.01 pounds of weed and 0.01 pound of hash to be precise – when using drug-sniffing dogs. Fiona ‘freely admitted’ the drugs were hers, so she was arrested, spent the night in jail and then released on $10,000 bond!
Isn’t it time this stupidity stops? I am sure some of my neighbors smoke more than what she had in a single night! There is a medical marijuana dispensary at the corner of my street, and there are basically hundreds of them in Los Angeles. But Texas has still these obsessive outdated laws about weed? It is obviously just a way for the state to make easy money. May be THC helps Fiona to deal with stage fright or other personal problems she has openly talked about in several interviews.
By the way. it is the same town that arrested Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson for the obvious same reasons! What a bunch of backward people…meanwhile isn’t it time that musicians learn the lesson, just drop the pot when you head for Texas! How many of them need to be arrested?
Fiona Apple is on tour right now, and was supposed to play in Austin on Thursday night, the concert was postponed, but let’s hope this incident will not disturb the rest of the tour. Everyone should stop these silly ‘criminal’ and ‘bad, bad girl’ jokes and Fiona should come back home!
