Prism sold more than 2 thru 9 combined and I guess that means sales are still in free fall because it’s not as though Prism sold a million or even half a million units.
Two really good songs here, “Booyah” is awesome straight up no chaser House and “Afterglow” is a very good dance track with lyrics that if they were maybe twice as good would put you in mind of Lily Allen.
The question is: are there enough Eminem fanatics to keep this slim shadiest on songs in the charts? Break it down: 3 hip hop stars, 6 pop stars and a novelty hit.
Ho hum, the charts are such a bore in 2013, Miley, Katy and Lorde oh my. There has to be more to modern pop than this. This is really kinda sad, it is not that it is terrible, the way the album charts were a couple of weeks ago

People are right, Timberlake should have cut the two album drift to a sharp singleminded single. Even so, this isn’t close to as bad as they naysayers claim
Unvarnished – Joan Jett And The Blackhearts – Sure this is Joanie 101 but it is also older Joanie 101, whether worrying about aging on “Fragile” or slashing and burning “Reality Mentality”, she is still writing strong glam riffs with shout outs, and sing-alongs. No, it isn’t Album, but it is still damn good – ALBUM OF THE WEEK – B+
If it wasn’t for the fact that Lorde apparently is only 16 years old, you’d be excused for believing Lorde is a 28 year old Disney XD actress playing a 16 year old
Unvarnished – Joan Jett And The Blackhearts – You know what you hope it sounds like? That’s exactly what it sounds like; glam rock, power rock, street anthem, soccer game top of the terrace at the top of your lungs singalonga – B+
As I write, I am planning to check out Yuck as part of the CMJ fest after loving their debut album and once you get past that there is Joan Jett with (hopefully) more of the same
Blondie at Highline were just incredible, you could feel Debbie’s star power tingling and X? And John Doe performing “Look How We Are”? Worth the price of admission in itself. Both bands on the same bill is a real thrill, so get thrilled at Roseland on Friday October 4th
