If you need that playlist to blast while on your way to the beach, wind blowing your hair back, and just being happy it’s summer, check these songs out.
1. Lisztomania- Pheonix. It’s a perfect song to rock out to that you can lose yourself and have a huge, goofy smile on your face. Totally an ideal song to dance around to.
2. I.D.G.A.F.- Breathe Carolina. While you’re practically jumping around in your car, don’t forget to actually drive.
3. Girls- Beastie Boys. Some find the Beastie Boys embarassing, but what’s summer for? Certainly not caring who’s giving you odd looks at the traffic light.
4. Hello Fascination- Breathe Carolina. Head banging may obscure vision, resulting in possible collision.
5. Haven’t Met You Yet- Michael Buble. Don’t pretend you’ve never sung this song into a hairbrush(or at least wanted to). It’s probably one of the catchiest songs I’ve ever heard.
6. Rocketships and Radios- Nickasaur! Try not to break the volume button on your radio when you turn this song up really loud.
7. Bohemian Rhapsody- Glee Cast. Now before you say “eww Glee!” or “They killed one of the greatest songs by Queen?!” give it a listen. Jesse St. James along with the other singers make for a perfect blend of theatrical singing and rockin’ out. I was afraid they’d kill it to but they certainly did not.
8. Cooler Than Me- Mike Posner. I first heard of him on MTV and now I can’t get enough of this song. Possibly my song of the summer.
9. Shut Up and Let Me Go- The Ting Tings. Sure it’s an old song, but an old favourite of a lot of people. The Ting Tings are a great summer band.
10. Smooth(cover)- Escape the Fate. The original version has NOTHING on Escape the Fate’s.
