Stephen Hawking, Parallel Universes And One Direction

Stephen Hawking

This guy is precious, not only he is a physic genius but he has a great sense of humor. Would you have ever thought that famous physicist Stephen Hawking would know about One Direction? I am of course talking about the boy band! The scientist was taking questions from the audience at the Sydney Opera House in Australia last Sunday, as part of Ideas at the House, a public lecture series, and you would expect people asking him about the beginning of the universe or black holes…. or string theory may be? but it was rather question of Zayn theory… someone asked him the following and burning question:

‘What do you think is the cosmological effect of Zayn [Malik] leaving One Direction and consequently breaking the hearts of millions of teenage girls across the world?’

‘Finally, a question about something important,’ answered Hawking with his great sense of humor…

‘My advice to any heartbroken young girl is to pay close attention to the study of theoretical physics,’ answered Hawking. ‘Because one day there may well be proof of multiple universes.’

‘It would not be beyond the realms of possibility that somewhere outside of our own universe lies another different universe,’ he added. ‘And in that universe, Zayn is still in One Direction.’

Don’t you love professor Hawking a bit more right now? First of all, for knowing who Zayn and One Direction are, and then, for giving hope in the most scientific way possible. Does he mean there is a parallel universe where John Lennon and George Harrison are still in the Beatles? If you believe in the theory the answer is yes. There is even an universe where the Smiths and the Clash are still playing concerts… After all, the Gallagher brothers may be reforming Oasis, so at least, we are living in that universe! My chance!

But, there was even more, this guy is definitively a riot:

‘The girl may like to know that in another possible universe, she and Zayn are happily married’

Wasn’t it the cutest answer that could come from a true atheist? Giving hope with a physic theory that nobody can truly demonstrate or even agree on.
