Spoon feed yourself this January!!!
In 2007 Spoon released their very well received Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, an album I’ve spent two years on the fence over. In the interim there has been a couple of EPs none of which I particulalrly liked. Put it this wasy, if Spoon and Modest Mouse were to arm wrestle I’d put my bucks on Modest Mouse.
It seems to be that there is a world of semi-cool alt rock bands I found a little boring, Death cab and Spoon, Grizzly Bears and Bon Iver. Don’t think they’re bad, mind. Just not all that.
However, news of Spoons 7th album, their first in two years, is pretty exciting. Called Transference, it is dropping January 26th, 2010.
