Sonic Youth "Smart Bar: Chicago 1985 on November 14"

There were different camps back in the day and if you were in my crew if you liked Sonic Youth you were a poser. Youth were for the college kids with big lawns who wanted to rebel while shopping at Benneton.  Such a stereotype.  Its funny I missed out on allot of really cool music because of the images bands had.  Husker Du, Sonic Youth, even The Replacements were all bands we 'real' punks would rather have died than listen too.  If I recall one of my friends beat the crap out of some kid for liking The Replacements.   Oh to be young and stupid.

Anyway decades later… I still don't like Sonic Youth.   Yeah, I know you love them, they're amazing, yeah ok.  So they're releasing this bit from 1985, Yup its nostalgia time in Suburbia!!

The new cd was actually originally recorded on cassette! To sweeten this deal a booklet is included with photographs by Pat Blashill and Steven Koress and liner notes by Gerard Cosloy and Aaron Mullan. Wooo…..still poser rock.  Now let the fans speak up…Heres the details,
