The Smith Westerns: Ahh to be twenty and drunk and disorderly
Despite the jibs of some readers when I said I liked the Smith Westerns opening for Los Campesinos at Webster Hall awhile back, guess what? I did like em and I liked “Be My Girl”.
Now comes word they got tossed from the Music Hall of Williamsburgh on Saturday October 24th, 2009 after being warned about underage drinking and completely ignoring the warnings, knocking back Jagermeister straight from the bottle WHILE ON STAGE!!!
I understand the room could lose their license but cmon, they’re twenty year old kids in a rock band, what do you think they’re gonna do. If you can make the decision to die for your country you can certainly make the decision to get drunk. This is nonsense stuff. God save the Smith Westerns and may they thoroughly enjoy their youth.
