Hasnt even begun yet and we're closing the damn thing already. Yup Londons Summer Olympics are all the hoot and lets hope we get Brit inspired over here and pick up some new music from it.. oh no, wait.
London is gonna end with a puff of dust, none other than Paul McCartney!!
The ceremony, directed Danny Boyle is called, “Isles of Wonder,” is a closely guarded secret, but many had suspected McCartney would be involved.
Earlier this year the former Beatle disclosed that he was in talks to play a role in the celebrations. On Monday, he confirmed: “I’ve been booked.”
He told BBC radio station 5 Live that he would be “closing the opening” of the games
How could he not partake? He is as British as Big Ben and well if I were running this show I would have the 'legends' open the ceremonies and the newer bands close it. Why? Cuz it shows hope for the future- Paul is the ghost of rock and roll past.
The Olympic Games take place July 27 to Aug. 12.
