Night Of The Hunters – Tori Amos – Around he time of "Talula", I believed Tori would break pop but the pianist had other things in mind. Like this quasi-classical, English folkie piece of work. No, it isn't pop. Grade: B-
The reckoning – NEEDTOBREATHE – Born again christaians rock and it is much better than Jars Of Clay (though not POD). Still, it is on a league with bad 3 Doors Down. Grade: C+
Twenty – Pearl Jam – 29 actually, and the soundtrack from the Cameron Crow album. Some rarities as well. So if you're a a big time fan, enjoy , and if you're not, wonder how many times they can recycle the same fucking songs.Grade: B-
Shooting Range – Messy Marv – Pretty good gangsta rap from a Pittsbugh Blood and his posse. Grade: B+
Time Travel – Never Shout Never – Yeah, now this is kinda ambitous art-rock which doesn't much work. A pity because if he wants to Chris has his way with a melody. Grade: C+
Major/Minor – Thrice – Hardcore by the numbers. Grade: B-
Hysterical – Clap Your Hands And Say Yeah – The progenators of the Internet phenom making more of the same folk rock. And they do it so well, I am not gonna complain, Grade: B+
The Sing Off Season 3 – This should really suck. Mainstream hits sung acapella by doowop bands. I mean, it should be a nightmare. But nearly everything here is excellent. Pick hit: the University of Rochester's version of K'Naan's "Wavin' Flag" Grade: A-
Europe '72 Volume 2 – Grateful – It feels traditional, seeped in country but with n acidy improv edge. Garcia is especially good here.Grade: B+
Unbroken – Demi Lovato – No Selena Gomez, but not a slouch. Tween-y dance pop with lots of positive reenforcement. Grade: B
