A few lines of a song written and discarded by George Harrison at Abbey Road in the sixties has been made into a song. “Silence Is Its Own Reply” is apparently a ten line gut wrenching take on Harrison’s friendship with John Lennon.
The paper eventually found its way to Beatles Biographer and has finally wound its way to Wirral songwriter Dean Johnson who has completed the song. Lines include ““I’m happy to say it’s only a dream, When I come across people like you, It’s only a dream and you make it obscene with the things that you’re thinking you do.”
Johnson’s song isn’t very good, at least he coulda written a decent melody, right? Anyway, here it is. John Lennon woulda taken the song outside and shot it dead. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcJVnDlxdtg
