I'm not. I still listen to Blunderbuss a whole lot. Its a great album and constant repeat with me is a pretty high honor. In an interview with the UK MSN Music, White states there are more songs recorded.
Could this mean more solo magic?
Jack stated:
"I recorded maybe 25 songs [during the Blunderbuss sessions]," the former White Stripes singer told the U.K.'s MSN Music in a video interview.
"I'm still working on the other ones and these ones that came out on Blunderbuss were just the ones that seemed to fit together right now," he added.
Ohhh I'm intrigued.I would be shocked if his next release was as good and Blunder, there are some levels that cant be maintained and Jack White is a bit odd for consistency. He is scattered with multiple projects and well, lets face it- it was a case of great timing. In time for promotion during 'Record Store Day', the hipsters created the buzz.
White also stated he was shocked that the album did so well:
"It's always shocking to me . . . because I have no idea exactly what people want to hear or what they'd like to know about or what they can relate to,"
Again it comes to timing and promotion. I don't think bands can set out with the mindset of creating what they feel people want to hear. Though, I'm thinking most pop music starts out with that formula. Lets hope the eccentrics such as White answer to a higher authority and simply 'get lucky' when they get it right.
I'll take some more Jack White songs, I have a bit more room in me for his work. So release it and lets decide.
