311 has organized their first ever music festival, The Pow Wow Festival at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park; a 500 acre park along the Suwannee River, in northern Florida.
Pow Wow is an interesting name for a music festival.. when I think of Pow Wow I think of hanging out with friends and family, having a good time. Hopefully, that is exactly what will happen for all involved during this inaugural fest.
Really Woody, another music festival.. why do I care, and more importantly why should you??
Because, my friends of Shinobi Ninja have been selected to perform, along with Sublime w/ Rome, Deftones, G.Love & Special Sauce, SOJA, Ozamatli, Reel Big Fish, The Movement, and Mix Master Mike of The Beastie Boys, (whom Shinobi is opening for.)
It begins Thursday, August 4 lasting until Saturday, August 6, 2011. You get 3 nights of music, which will begin on Thursday evening and end late on Saturday night.
Campers can arrive on Thursday and depart on Sunday; camping is highly encouraged by everyone involved.
For you 311 fans, 311 will play 4 sets (2 on Friday and 2 on Saturday). And for the first time ever, 311 will play their album TRANSISTOR in its entirety!
