Set Your Goals is one of the bands that could sit in the back seat if Four Year Strong were driving. They can hold the map but not drive…yet.
I have to say I love this band and live they're so incredibly focused that mosh pit shoes can whip by them and they're oblivious. That's a very active pit by the way once they begin until end of set its a whirling chanting fist pumping event.
Hardcore boys seem to know every word, the sing along sections of their songs are deafening.
Which leads us to their latest song "Start The Reactor".
Yowza it starts of like crap. I have to say my first reaction was…. disappointment.
That was until the lyrics began and suddenly the 'ah ha' moment, this is why i love this genre. Songs like this are empowering and now for a few moments I can tell why the shout backs are so intense.
The enthusiasm and strength of Set Your Goals has finally transferred to recording. This is it, not a weak ass studio sound used as a tutorial to learn the words before a show, but a real live open the car windows crank the volume pound the steering wheel like a drum kit kick ass song.
Cant wait for the album,Burning At Both Ends, which is due this summer and cannot wait for the next tour go round. I'm in.
