Why is this scream smiling?
Sure I read the reviews, which claimed Scream 4 -more dead teens in Willbrook, sucked. Sure, I streamed the album, which really did suck.
And so I ventured to the movie filled with anticipation and dread and … I had no idea that the killer was the killer till they told me! Plus I thought it was a fun, not too bloody, some of the chicks were hot.
If you don't know the Scream franchise, it is a sorta "meta" though self aware "meta" concept. In 1 – 2 and 3, a murderer in a Edvard Munch "Scream" mask offs teenagers. It always starts with two chicks getting a call asking em what their favorite scary movie is and goes down hill from there. Scre4m adds to the add, with movies witin movies and then throws internet streaming in for kicks, though it doesn't do much with it.
The Wes Craven directed fun blood and gutser has zero production values, up to and including, a pretty fucking dismal soundtrack which appears to have been away free with a subscription to Circus (which doesn't exist anymore -of course!).
It all ends up in blood and guts at a midnight Stab (the movie within a movie) festival and then a false ending and then a twist (that surprised me) and then another coumpla false endings.
Which leads me back to the Sound and Ida Marie -I think that was the Sound going rootsy on the car radio but otherwise nobody left the slightest impression. And nobody made much money either is my bet.
