On Tuesday’s I raid itunes, on saturdays I go through my emails and raid the world of indie or alt or a bit of both and I am having a pretty good day of it….
Lucy Schartz’s “Rain City” is a pretty and pretty mainstream, adulty soft rock tasteful sound.
Light Pollution’s “Magic Kingdom Kicked My Teeth” is a potential blast off, all tom toms and haunted vocals from Chicago, who seem to make a living on this stuff nowadays.
And “Golden Haze” is hauntingly pretty rock power, all mood and melody, like they thought they were dropping acid but they were smoking hash instead (if I haven’t screwed my metaphors too bad.)
