Ryan Adams went solo at the Henry Miller Memorial Library and all I got was his lousy setlist at least until I catch him at Carnegie Hall in December:
Setlist:
"Sweet Carolina"
"Everybody Knows"
"Ashes & Fire"
"Dirty Rain"
"Sweet Little Gal" (piano)
"Invisible Riverside"
"New York, New York" (piano)
"Winding Wheel"
"Firecracker"
"Please Do Not Let Me Go"
"Lucky Now"
"English Girls Approximately"
"Let it Ride"
"Blue Hotel"
"Carolina Rain"
"Two"
"16 Days" (Whiskeytown)
"Houses on the Hill" (Whiskeytown)
"I See Monsters"
"Why Do They Leave"
"Jacksonville Skyline" (Whiskeytown)
Encore: (with Jason Isbell)
"Love in the First Degree" (Alabama)
"Dancing with the Women at the Bar" (Whiskeytown)
Improvisational “Relish” jam
"Come Pick Me Up"
It's not a bad llittle setlist either. No "Burning Photographs" or "Wish You Were Here" or his undeniable hit "When The Lights Go Blue" But losta "English Girls Approximately", and, well , well, "New York, New York" -maybe his greatest moment. Oh and "Two" -a fave from 2008. Only 3 tracks off the newbie so he isn't overdoing it either., and FIVE (count em) off Heartbreaker and 3 Whiskeytown songs…
