A coupla weeks ago I wished Fleetwood Mac out of retirement. Well, Stevie Nicks just advised that we should expect a tour in 2012. "When (my new) album and Lindsey's album come to a stop then Fleetwood Mac will gather again and we'll either make another record or we won't and we’ll just go on tour." My hope wasn't entirely prescient, the buzz was getting very loud.
Lindsay, who looked great during a sketch on SNL the other day, is very important but not the only importance here. Assume John McVie and Mick Fleetwood are gimmes, that still leaves Christine McVie.
And without Christine "You Can Go Your Own Way" McVie, I don't care that much. I need all of them. Christine had a great voice and her songs shoulder to shoulder with Stevie and Lindsey's. That's why Tusk wasn't what it should've been, Lindsey hi-jacked it.
If they can get Christine to sign up, I suggest they play the first two albums with that line up, Fleetwood Mac and Rumors. Who wouldn't pay to see that?
