Iman and I have discussed Mick Jaggers upcoming host gig for Saturday Night Live this week and by now you've heard it a million times. Yeah so that Arcade Fire dude and some other hipster crap will be along to but the rumors my oh my how they fly.
According to the UK's Daily Mirror the classic rockers have been practicing some of their most popular songs in the Big Apple, such as “Miss You,” “Jumping Jack Flash” and “Tumbling Dice.”
What could possibly be the reason for all the rehearsing? One thought is that since singer Mick Jagger is scheduled to appear as both host and musical guest on the season finale of Saturday Night Live on May 19, the Stones might join him on stage for the performance. Do I think they will? The real question is would I care either way? Nope.
It would be cool to see all the geezers on the same postage stamp sized stage in the comfort of my jammies but its not a huge deal to me. I do wonder what the sidewalk in front of 30 Rock will look like on Saturday. If you recall, One Direction and Lady Gaga blocked up the streets with fans camping out in hopes for a standby ticket.
I just hope theres something to laugh about beside his performance. I hope he doesn't suck as badly as Elton John did. How many lip jokes will there be or 'moves like Jagger' references will we endure?
Who knows… but its just a few days away.
