No need to cry over the postponement of the Stones 50th tour. I doubt strongly it will happen at all. This stall tactic is so you’ll forget they said they would do it. Theyre too old too tired and they no longer need your applause.
The sources state ‘health issues’ as the reason for no tour- but we all know its more than that and im sure some of it is contracts and wheeling dealings. There is some mention that an alternate tribute. The Stones might play multiple nights in major markets in place of extensive touring. Easier on the disposition at that age.
So you may just want to content yourself with a documentary.
Directed by Brett Morgen and with unseen footage, the yet to be titled documentary is being described as the first film “to trace the evolution of The Rolling Stones from 1962.”
