The Rocket Summer At The Palladium, Worcester, MA April 8th: Mice And Angels Lit Up by Mary Magpie

At school yesterday, go ahead and ask any of my friends, all I could talk about was interviewing my hero. Bryce Avary. Nervous? Extremely. Excited? More than anything. Getting out of rehearsal early, we were on the road to Worcester.
We met him at Uno’s, sat down, and talked. After having the incredible opportunity to interview Bryce(and not faint), we headed to his show a while later and I was pumped as ever. Walked into the venue  and I was so excited.

The two openers? Not much to say about them. Hope their musical journey goes well.

“Of Men and Angels” lit up on stage in bulbs of blue and yellow, I knew it was going to be a good show.

I’d never been that close, up more to the front, to him before. I really got to watch him in action. The man knows how to put on a show. So much positive energy, it seemed like all he wanted to do was have fun. My hero, on stage, seemingly comfortable, doing what he does best. Singing along with him and the crowd made the show intimate and enjoyable. His voice is no doubt just as beautiful live as it is when it’s blaring through my headphones on the way to school. I just felt so connected to him, he’s a true performer. Not only am I proud to say that I’m a fan or love his music, but I’m proud to consider him my idol and hero.

After the show, I came home, went to bed, and fell asleep listening to “Of Men and Angels” with a smile on my face. The man truly can do no wrong.
