After the most frustrating two months in rock nyc’s 5 year, the rock nyc website has finally stabilized and will be back to posting again on Monday. We needed a couple of days to make sure the website wasn’t going to crash again!
This has been a study in weirdness, we moved to two hosts and three servers and one memorable morning we crashed three times in an hour. In the end we had compress all our pix, delete some 20 + plug ins and retest every plug in separately till we could figure out the problem. AMong them? Every time a reader access one post, 22,000 posts were activated. It was like we suddenly got 22,000 visitors?
The other problem is the body of work on this website is huge. If nothing else, it stands as a a study of 5 years of contemporary. Which is essentially the plan here any way.
