Motorhead board game? A band famous for its metal antics and a cardboard trivia game in honor of them. It’s things like this that confuse me most. Proof that the fans are old and more sedate. Shouldn’t they be drunk on the floor surrounded by chaos?
Not anymore, now they’re sitting around a table shouting out Lemmy trivia. Not lightly either. We’re talking 1,600 different questions about the band. You have to be a scholar or a cheater to make it through this one. Notice that the answers are ‘yes’ and ‘no’… looks tough.
“About f***ing time,” says guitarist Phil Campbell.
“I’ve had a fun life for sure,” added Lemmy. “Playing this will help me remember it!”
I can almost bet you my house that there is no way in hell Lemmy is sitting down to play this. Billed as the ‘loudest trivia game in the world’, it has an aggressive betting system to ‘even the playing field’. Does anyone else see this as a really odd fan gift?
Considering Lemmy’s recent health issues this could well be heading to the memorabilia shelf. I cant imagine the band touring actively for much longer so perhaps board games are the wave of the future for them? I just hope this isn’t the first step to the world of KISS-like merchandising. As our heroes age alternate forms of income should be explored I suppose but a trivia board game? Does anyone have that many brain cells left?
