Refused Brought Some Raw Energy On 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon'

Refused is headlining the FYF Fest in September and they were also visiting ‘Late Night With Jimmy Fallon’ last night, July 18. By watching these two videos of the songs  ‘New Noise’ and ‘The Shape of Punk To Come’, you can tell they brought lots of rage and high energy quite unusual on late night TV, with their thunderous guitars, screamed audible vocals, pounding drumming and heavily propulsive grooves.

The Swedish hardcore group has just reunited since their disbandment in 1998 after releasing 3 albums, ‘This Just Might Be… the Truth’ (in 1994), ‘Songs to Fan the Flames of Discontent’ (in 1996), and  ‘The Shape of Punk to Come’ (in 1998) which is considered as a landmark album in punk music. It was their debut on TV, and the singer in particular seemed to be in top form. I predict this energy will be quite a riotous scene at the FYF when I see them live, and if you are not in LA, here are their reunion tour dates:
