“Rocket To Russia” by The Ramones is an insanely repetitious yet very catchy album.
Best known for being repetitive, The Ramones were still fantastic and are considered one of the greatest punk bands of all time. Lyrics can change but that’s about it. When a formula works its best to stick with it, but was there any variation at all?
Its hooks and beats really get you addicted, we don’t wonder why The Ramones are still a common household name. We know its the unique sound they brought to the airwaves 33 years ago. But if you were looking for some diversity go elsewhere. It’s a genuinely great album or maybe just a genuinely great song 14 different lyrics? But it brought us some classics “We’re A Happy Family”, “Surfin’ Bird”, things we hear alot of even to this day. No complaints we respect our elders.
