This is now official, Queens Of The Stone Age’s new album is due in June via Matador Records, and is called ‘Like Clockwork’. The band updated their webpage with the above artwork, and if you click on it, you will be able to hear very short snippets from the album. But you will need to refresh the page to hear a new one! There are seven of them and this is very little to tell anything, but this one is particularly interesting and very QOTSA, this one has a little bit of the Foo Fighters, whereas this one sounds more like something Trent Reznor would have composed.
But as you may remember, the album features about a million of collaborations from Elton John to Dave Grohl, Jake Shears, Trent Reznor, Mark Langegan,…so needless to say there is a lot of expectation for this ‘Like Clockwork’, their first album since 2007 ‘Era Vulgaris’. And you know what? Their fans are so eager for more, they have already uploaded these 4-second-snippets on YouTube!
