Quadrophenia , The Who On Tour

The Who are none the worse for wear and hitting the road this fall.  The band will be replicating their 1996-1997 tour of Quadrophenia..  It’s hard to think it’s nearly a decade later that these guys are back at recreating the 1973 album.

Think about that for a moment.  This band whose surviving members are knocking on age 70 will be performing an album they released 39 years ago.  The album is a rock opera, a phrase no longer used which basically means a story telling album.  The Who were the masters of this cuz they through down two…Quadrophenia and Tommy.  Both were made in to pretty decent films too.

Joining the group's two surviving members, Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, will be Zak Starkey (drums), Pino Palladino (bass), Simon Townshend (guitar), Chris Stainton and Loren Gold (both keyboards)

The tour includes four NYC area shows: 11/14 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, 12/5 at Madison Square Garden, 12/6 at Prudential Center in Newark, and 2/21 at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island.
