Punk Rock Heart Transplant Free Download

It can be difficult to be a grown up who likes punk.  I lived it while it was happening so inevitably I will compare it to the masters of the genre.  I guess its like gramma comparing Journey to Elvis- its all rock and roll just very very different.

Which brings us to this weeks bucket of free music. "Punk Rock Heart Transplant".  I love the art work like crazy.  It totally takes me back to the good old days when DIY comics were all the rage and this is so fitting.

24 songs by band you've never heard of some suck, some are fantastic. Best track? Loser By Default "Reasons".  The vocals get a bit Green Dayish, which is the only negative I have to say.  This is straight up old school punk rock and it made me very happy to hear. Second Runner Up?  "Shes Got Nothin'", The Regime.  I am crazy in love with the raspy vocal.

All in all for nothing, this thing kicks ass.  I'm loving the time warp and I adore that kids are still doing this stuff. It's good to know that this is out there.  Get it and skank around your living room.
