Professor Jack White Speaks… I sure wish he wouldn’t
Jack White received an honorary degree from the Philosophical Society at Dublin’s Trinity College on Sunday (October 18) according to Uncut.
Proving that White never misses a chance to make a prat of himself this is what he had to say. “I don’t know if Bob Dylan and Tom Waits are as authentic as I think they are. Perhaps they aren’t.” That is pretty stupid but not the stupid part. Here comes the bs: “Sometimes you start thinking that maybe Britney Spears or someone like that who’s doing exactly what they want to do in the way that they best know how, is more authentic than any of those people you could mention.”
Look at it this was, Jack: Britney’s last two albums are better than Dead Weather, Bob Dylan’s last two albums and Tom Waits last album combined. Authenticate that.
