And how did he make the blood on Henry Rollins’ hand for the famous cover of Black Flag’s 1982 LP ‘Damaged’? ‘I made the blood there, I brought red India ink and went scrounging around in the kitchen and found dish washing soap and instant coffee. I mixed it up right there and it looked perfect. It looked exactly like real blood.’
Last Friday, an exhibit ‘The eye of the LA Punk Scene’ featuring his photography and assemblage works has opened at the Hibbleton Gallery in Fullerton CA, and will run through January 2nd.
