I loved VH1's "Pop Up Video".
The concept here is to show a music video and during it a pop up bubble would give you some trivial bit of information. These pop ups were about the band, the song, the location or even on a random lyric. Any fan of trivia was instantly hooked on this. I've wasted so much time on this show (in rerun) that I'm rather embarrassed.
Great news! I will be wasting even more time because VH1 is bringing it back.
Pop Up Video has stood the test of time, ranking as one of the most iconic series in recent television history," VH1 president Tom Calderone says in a statement.
"For years, people have practically begged, 'Please bring back Pop Up Video!' It's a show and format that now evokes nostalgia for VH1's young adult audience."
I didn't beg, but I'm glad its back. Sixty new episodes are slated to begin this fall. Of course, it will be updated and interactive an on their website and all that jazz. Heres one of the great videos with the little silly pop up sound.
