Pete Quaife- Former Kinks Bassist, Dead at 66 by Mike Nessing

Pete Quaife, one of the founding members and original bassist for British pop group , The Kinks has died. The cause of death is not certain, but Quaife had been battling kidney problems and had been on a dialysis machine for more than 10 years.
From 1962 to 1969, Quaife and drummer Mick Avory were the rhythm section behind the antics of the Davies brothers. He briefly quit for a time during 1966 due to medical reasons involving a car accident.
Pete Quaife was 66.
