Paul Simon Pricing Out The Fans

What’s going on with these Paul Simon’s tickets in Los Angeles?
Here are the prices for one of his two nights at the Pantages Theater:

Front row package $350
Gold Hot Ticket Package $275
Silver Hot Ticket Package Orchestra $210

Honestly, who can afford this?

It’s less expensive with the 'American express cardmember presale preferred seating', $65-$99- $142, depending on the seat, but I don’t have the American express card!
I don’t understand this privilege for AE holders anyway, isn’t it a card for people who are already rich?
I have seen Paul Simon several times in the past, but ticket prices had nothing to do with this inflation. At these prices, he will get the Hollywood high society, the rich and the famous, old men and woman who ride limos to go to the show and who have been to each Broadway musical played at the Pantages without, I bet, even really liking any of them.
It’s a shame and there will not be no sound of silence for me, or may be only the sound of silence,… I’m confused.
