Patsy Cline: The Sisterhood of The Unloved Friend

Patsy Cline. We have all heard her before.  That familiar twangy trill.  She always sounded so despondent.  Just a sad sad woman sitting in a window seat tracing condensation- lovelorn.

Patsy was an emo.  She not only wore her heart on her sleeve she ripped your heart out of your chest and wore yours as well.

"Does Your Heart Beat For Me'', is a plea of acknowledgement.  Disbelief and insecurity of love.  Tough to hear.  You almost want to leave, it becomes so uncomfortable. Shes been dumped again, so she doubts every single thing that was.  Sad really.    She thinks the memory of her disappears when a goodbye is said.  Patsy needs a bit of Cosmo magazine, she'd know then that men will never forget a true love and always regret messing it up.  Simple.  Patsy could never really hang out with Hillary Clinton.

With "He Called Me Baby", Patsy get her sultry on.  As sultry as a steel guitar will allow.  But the question becomes why is everything in Patsy's life in past tense?  That woman has horrible taste in men, I'd like to help the sister out and kick their asses for her.  Shes the sad girl in the bar bathroom with 8 inches of mascara trickling down her face.  You cant help but lover her as a waif and weak person.  She invites your pity but she likes being sad.  Her sad is her security blanket.

Shes not going to get mad for you doin' her wrong, shes gonna sit in her bathrobe with a cold cup of coffee and stare out the window obsessing.

Patsy could never chill with Kesha.

But if you get right down to it "I Fall To Pieces", is perfection.  Yes the brush stroke drums come across rather promande and the bellow of the male back ups a bit awkward but the lyrics and the adorable lilt of accent is just too wonderful to dismiss.   Any girl whos loved a boy who's shelved her has sung this in her head. Not me of course, Im too cool but others..yeah, Patsy could easily hang out with me.

Rock on Sister.
