“Fit and You Know It” by the Streets (aka Mike Skinner) , is one of the coolest songs ever and if you’ve not heard it I suggest you find it. Not only is it hilariously bad but it really does sound as awkward as the topic suggests.
Word comes now the Mike Skinner will be doing a guest spot on Doctor Who. BBCAmerica shows this series I believe 1 season in arrears so if you’re a fan its coming, its just going to take a bit. I suppose it will be online sometime but basically this info is a great excuse to introduce The Streets to you if you’re unfamiliar.
I can tell you Skinner is a bit of drama queen. On and off with quitting the business then releasing songs dribs and drabs on his myspace. I almost find him endearing for this very fact. I too, cant make up my mind half of the time. He’s classified as a rapper- but hes not he’s a speaker over a beat sings like hell, hes better speaking but I <3 him. Wickedly. ( he’s sporting a new beard too…)
Latest word has The Streets 5th album due out end of 2010, but I wouldn’t hold your breath.
What I would do is pick up 2004’s ‘A Grand Don’t Come For Free’ and blast it til the neighbors complain.
