Oh boy!
How excited was I to get an email telling me that The Eagles are now on Spotify?I quickly added the music that was available to my playlist of Anita’s Choices.. arranged them from my favorite to the obscure ones.
Going through each song is like opening a chapter from the past from the summer of 1976 in Southern California. Wonderful memories of my youth flew through my mind. Taking me back to that time. A feel good moment. Thats what great songs can do.
“Peaceful Easy Feeling”, “Ol’ 55” , “Desperado”, “Tequila Sunrise”, “Try To Love Again”, “Take It To The Limit”. And the list goes on. The Eagles troubadours of the West! Their harmonies and melodic, rocking music. Pleasant to the ears. Oh don’t get me wrong! The Eagles can ROCK! “On The Border”, “James Dean” & ” These Shoes” With the funky riffs of Joe Walsh of James Gang, how could they not? The Eagles didn’t add their latest release Long Road Out Of Eden. Which I own. It’s an album that shows the maturity and heart for the environment which they have been supporters since their beginnings. I highly recommend you listen to it in its entirety . The Eagles did however give us the single ” Hole In The World” A Poignant song. It’s a song by The Eagles written by Don Henley and Glenn Frey in response to the September 11th attacks, released in 2003.
I don’t know what made them decide to put their music out there but boy am I happy they did!…. Sigh
