Odd Future Release An Old EP And Odds And Sods Off Their Mixtapes

So Odd Future have pulled out some of their older songs and rereleased an EP, 2009's embryonic An Odd Future Is Near EP and and odds and sods, Tyler, The Creator claimed on Twitter "12 songs from Odd Future that most fans should already have, but some of the newer fans probably don’t have these.  No songs with Frank Ocean though…?" The album cover tells you the rest of the story

Between the two albums, I only knew "Bastard" and while An Odd Future  doesn't connect all the way through, it certainly does have the power on tracks like "Sho Is Hype" and "Better off Dead".

"12 Songs" is a different matter entirely. 3 Tyler, the Creator tracks, 3 Mellowhype, so half is immediately brilliant. But for newcomers suck as myself, Jet Age Of Tomorrow is so fucking weird, they are fabulous. "But She's Not My Lover" sounds like supper club jazz from the 1960s and "Welcome Home Son" sounds like 2010 Keezy without the production values.
