NYC's Jay Nash at Wakarusa

One from our own backyard will be in Arkansas for Wakarusa Music Festival June 2nd to June 5th.

After spending much of April and May overseas, local NYC acoustic and folk rocker Jay Nash, is ready to be on US soil. A little reminiscent of Bob Dylan, especially with songs like, "Till I get Through", however he gives off a more of country vibe with songs like, "Shake it all Off." Even though I feel its all a different level of folk rock, mostly story telling and love songs.

He most defiantly has a good voice, and can sure write a song full of passion. Someone, who I am looking forward to seeing live.

His newest album, "Blood and Diamonds", dropped on March 8th and is nine songs full of music that has the potential to give you goose bumps. The organ chords on "River Prayer" gave me some godly feeling, sitting alone at 7am on my couch.

And look at that! According to his FB he is friends w/ Jim Bianco, whom I covered at Rockwood Music Hall back in January.. this music biz sure is small. Tread softly brothers and sisters.

For those New Yorkers who dont have the luxury of coving music festivals for a "living" you can catch Jay Nash at Rockwood Music Hall on June, 28th.

See you at WAKARUSA Jay!
